Many negative statuses work on this mob, recommend get a Nihoparaoa accessory and a Remedy with all 3 lores learned, you're able to take him down easily even you're at low level (below 30) is no problem as well. Make sure Dispel him before you use this trick. Dispel him again if later he recasts support spells.

Must prepare Esuna white magic and Haste is recommended as well. Set Gambit for curing negative statuses with Esuna, also prepare Echo Herbs to cure the healer in case if he/she got Silence. There's a dangerous move from this mob when it's low HP, Balance. This spell deals damage according to the different of caster's max HP and remaining HP, let say if it cast Balance when it left 2559 HP, and its max HP is 22559, so the result would be 20000 damage! And the amount of damage send to all targets in the area. Either you have to use Mist Knack/Quickening to finish it off before it casts Balance, or sacrifice a character to close combat, and other two characters stay in a distance with range weapon attack, so the Balance would on damage on the close combat ally. Make sure to revive as soon as the Balance has been casted.

This mob only appear during the sand storm. Lot of HP but not that tough, the problem is Ring Wyrm can restore its HP, so even if it couldn't beat your team easily, but you still need to have enough power to kill it as well. Recommend fight this mob when your main team characters are above level 30. First of all, kill off the enemies around, just to avoid them from bothering this long battle. Since Ring Wyrm mostly use its normal attack, and seems to focus on one target normally, so other characters can support and heal, also means Blind works well for your advantage, cast Protect spell on your characters as well.

Prepare some Hi-Potions and Gold Needles, you will need these items for this fight. Kill everything in the North Bank (North-East section), exit and return to find them. Can say they're the toughest hunt of this rank, recommend your main team characters are over level 15. When you return to this section after clearing the monsters, you will probably see Chickatrice
alone. If you have Disable spell (buy from Rabanastre), try send it at the beginning, if it's missed, exit and re-enter for another try. Needless to say, you should defeat them one by one, attack as much as possible before the Cluckatrice has detected your location. It's easier when Lamont/Larsa is in you team.

Like Hell Wyrm optional boss, you can run from the fight anytime you like, as long as not leaving Yiazmat with Regen status, he won't restore his life. So, fight until you're tired, then leave and save your game at the nearest Save Crystal, return there later as your wish.

Well, my recommended level is 80, or it can be even lower, but of cause if you have higher level characters. There's a little tricks to reduce his long HP bar much easier than fighting him at the stage. At around level 80 or lower, you have to do this trick, you cannot beat him by using normal battle style.

Some important things you need are:
- Darkga, this is your main attack.
- Mirror Mail, at least 3 for supporting your main attack.
- Phoenix Down, 99 if it. You must sacrifice an ally for some reasons.
- Gold Needle & Chronos Tear at least 10 for each. I believe you have more.
- Hermes Sandals, if you don't like to unequip Mirror Mail and cast Haste.
- Lv 3 Mists, to max out your Max MP. I believe you have done this.
- Windbreaker, just in case for Yiazmat's Cyclone.

Optional:
- Ashe and Penelo as main party, they have strongest magic power.
- Bubble Belt, for safety before you can really trapped Yiazmat.
- Opal Ring, in case of need.
- Black Mask, in case of need.
- Fomalhaut + Dark Shot, in case of need.
- Sage's Ring to save your MP.

NOTE:
Before anything, I would like to let you know, this trick can only take down 95% Yiazmat's HP, you must fight the remaining 5% in the hard way! Althought this trick could not beat Yiazmat, but I think it would be helpful to get rid of 95% Yiazmat.

#- Trapping Yiazmat
Here comes the fight, I found a little trick to trap Yiazmat and attack him without worrying much, which means you don't actually need to fight him face to face. Switch off the Gambit, enter the Colosseum and manually cast Dispel on Yiazmat at first, let him target on your current leader. Circling Yiazmat at the side to lure him get close to the side, and now you will get one or
two hits, but with Bubble Belt or Bubble status, you can survive it without problem. If you're unluckly get Stop or Petrify, or even stomp on the trap with other bad statuses, faster use item to cure it. Once Yiazmat has closed to the stairs (be sure it's very close to the stairs), change your second character as your leader, leave the former leader KO'd by Yiazmat, but now make sure you new leader run down the stairs and hide behind the wall.

Use Phoenix Down or Arise to revive your former leader once yo reached behind the wall. Now Yiazmat will start casting Protect at the same place, and you can actually damage him behind the wall, by using Reflect + Darkga is the strongest attack. Equip all character with Mirror Mail and use the Darkga on your own.

You might not understand what I mean, so check the link below, click "Next" at the bottom to see step by step of the trick.

Once you've done trapping Yiazmat, simply set the Gambit like this:
---------------------------------------
| Character 1                                            | As mentioned before, equip all your
| 1. Ally: Any => Phoenix Down            | character with Mirror Mail, so you
| 2. Ally: Any => Darkga                        | don't need to cast Reflectga on the
|                                                                  | team. Keep on using Darkga to bounce
| Character 2                                            | off triple damage to Yiazmat.
| 1. Ally: Any => Phoenix Down            |
| 2. Ally: Any => Darkga                        | Same time, Yiazmat will cast Protect,
|                                                                  | Shell, Regen, Haste, Bravery... spell
| Character 3                                            | on his own, you should Dispel him
| 1. Ally: Any => Phoenix Down            | again at the suitable timing.
| 2. Ally: Any => Darkga                         | I recommend begin your Dispel once
--------------------------------------- Yiazmat has done his Haste.

By doing so, you would trigger Yiazmat to use Deathstrike since Dispel cannot cast through the wall. Just send the character with weakest Magic to do this job. Revive him/her after the Deathstrike, the Dispel should be sent before Yiazmat did the Deathstrike. So, Yiazmat will recast the support spell accrodingly again, repeat and send him more Darkga until him cast Haste, Dispel as usual.

Sometimes, Yiazmat will use Cyclone instead of Deathstrike, if this happen, try set your team to be only one existing character to take on the Cyclone, but probably you can't do this well since your Gambit is on. So equip all character with Windbreaker armor, also equip Shell Shield if you have it, just only to block the Cyclone. Change back the better equipments afterwards. Remeber Cyclone bring you Sap status, be sure you heal it.

#- Additional notes:
- Sometimes you can actually make Yiazmat cancels Cyclone, but I haven't discovered how exaclty was it. So far I've done few times, which is keep running further from Yiazmat (who was targetted by Yiazmat with Cyclone), and eventaully Yiazmat begins casting Protect again.
- Equip Sage's Ring to regain some MP, because you can gain MP while using Darkga, and Sage's Ring reduce the MP cost.
- If you need to cast support spell, equip Opal Ring, but remember to unequip it after you've done.
- In case after Cyclone you need to heal badly, unequip the Mirror Mail on the character at low HP and equip Black Mask, means heal by using Darkga, meanwhile you can damage Yiazmat.
- Equip Hermes Sandals to speed up your progress.
- Prevent Reflectga from Yiazmat by equiping Mirror Mails.

*** READ THIS ***

Hopefully you haven't go and fight Yiazmat without reading this. Again, with the strategy above, you can only cut off 95% of his HP, what would happen after that? Like King Bomb restores its HP after getting certain amount of damage, but Yiazmat is like a auto-ability, he will restore his HP very faster, probably 2 seconds restore one life bar, you can't Dispel this, however, this auto-ability can only be activated when Yiazmat cannot detect any target in his range. So,
show off yourself to stop Yiazmat from restoring HP. And I noticed this will happen when Yiazmat HP is down to 2 bar left, that's mean when 1 red dot left under his HP bar.
For safety, GO AND SAVE YOUR GAME NOW~!

Before return to the fight, remember Yiazmat will give you a Cyclone after he done his supporting setup. So, send a solo character to take against this Cyclone. It's better you have Reverse status in the right timing, so you don't need to worry for it. I recommend start casting
Reverse when you pass the stairs.

#- Final showdown

1. Lure Yiazmat to use Deathstrike
With the over-wall attack trick above, Yiazmat can only use Deathstrike if you don't enter the stage. To not make Yiazmat stop attacking, use two characters to keep staying at the stairs, as Yiazmat can detect the targets, he will keep using Deathstrike, so his HP wouldn't restore as
long as he sees your ally. Keep one ally using Darkga as usual, be sure you have Gambit set to use Phoenix Down against your ally to revive from Deathstrike. But this technique is slow, and Yiazmat might use Cyclone instead of Deathstrike, so you do have to prepare against Cyclone too.

2. Decoy + Reverse
As you need to close combat with Yiazmat, he will cast Reflectga on your team, if you want to use Dispel on your team, you will lost all your current supporting statuses, and you need to recast them, which is wasting your time. To make the things easier, equip Mirror Mail
to prevent the Reflectga from Yiazmat. Decoy a character and Reverse him/her. Already mentioned in Fafnir strategy under Rank H/VII section, check it out for the basic setup. By using this technique, you have to prepare Esuna or Chronos Tear and Gold Needle to cure the possible bad statuses from Stone and White Breath. Since Yiazmat only attack your
Decoyed character, so equip Windbreaker to other characters for the coming soon Cyclone.

3. Reverse everyone
You don't need to Decoy, only cast Reverse to all ally, but you need to spend lot of MP. This is also a close combat, so equip Mirror Mail to prevent Yiazmat's Reflectga. Now you should have Gambit setup for "Self => Reverse" or "Ally: Any => Reverse". Equip Sage's Ring to
reduce MP cost of Bubble/Bubble Belt to double your HP for just in case get hit by Yiazmat before you put up the Reverse. So basically you don't need to worry about Cyclone, but you still need to prepare curing Petrify, Stop and Sap.

The strongest boss in the game is going down, Good Luck~!

I wonder why this mob listed as rank S/VI, he's actually much stronger than many other ranked H/VII mobs. I recommend your main team characters are all over 65 level since I fought it at 64-65 level team is still tough. So leave this mob for a moment, go for other rank H/VII mobs before this.

== Preparatories ==

Here are some recommended equipments:
Excalibur, Masamune, Zodiac Spear, Whale Whisker, Golden Axe,
Durandal, Fomalhaut, Perseus Bow/Artemis Bow, Valcano...
Zodiac Esctcheon, Demon Shield, White Mask, Black Mask, Dueling Mask,
Circlet, Golden Skullcap, Genji Helm, Brave Suit, Lordly Robes...
Nihopalaoa, Sage's Ring, Bubble Belt, Ribbon, Genji Gloves...

Well, almost all are the best equipments in the game, seriously you need most of them for this fight, but I'm not telling you to get all of them, just try to get as much as possible. However, most of them can be found in the Subterra, have some exercises in Subterra for these equipment,
and you don't need to equip Diamond Armlet to obtain them.

- Check this map for the details of Subterra:

Subterra

For Excalibur, you can find it in the Crystal Grande/The Great Crystal
For Masamune, you can either trade it or clear the Gilgamesh rank H/VII mob, and it will become the reward of thismission. Also make sure you steal all Genji equipment from Gilgamesh mob. As for magics and technick/skills, Curaja, Hastega, Esunaga, Arise, Bubble, Charge, Telekinesis are most important, make sure you have all them.

Needless to say, you should learn all abilities slots on the top part of the Licenses Board to get your character to become stronger.

== Unlocking Subterra ===

Return to Pharos at Ridorana, take the Dais of Ascendence at 1F to underground (B1F, Penumbra). Collect enough Black Orbs/Pearls by killing monsters and fill it to the Altars at four different corner to get to lower floors. Here is the require orbs of each floor.

B1F - South-West 6, South-East 3, North West 9, North-East 18
B2F - South-West 18, South-East 15, North West 9, North-East 15
B3F - South-West 12, South-East 27, North West 21, North-East 15
B4F - Battle~!

Before you can reach B4F/Unknown, you have to defeat Phoenix optional boss at North of B1F/Penumbra. You can check Phoenix under "Optional Bosses" section for some details. Anyway, Dispel Phoenix at the beginning of the battle, then equip Nihopalaoa and use a Remedy to Phoenix, that's all you need to do, after this you can defeat it easily.

== The main target ==

If you look carefully on the bill, you can actually see there's more than Shadowseer on the portrait, and the other opponents are Pandaemonium, Slyt, Fenrir and Phoenix, which are also the elite enemies in the Pharos. During the battle, all these Pharos elites will be summoned out one after one, no other to skip the fights, you have to defeat all of them again before you can defeat Shadowseer.

At the beginning, Dispel Shadowseer before attack. He will probably cast Shinning Ray or Darkness to attack, just equip White Mask or Sage's Ring to absorb Shinning Ray and Black Mask or Demon Shield to absorb Darkness. When Shadowseer down to 75% HP, he will be invincible and start summoning the bosses that you fought before. Start from know, Shadowseer will also use many many annoying moves to attack you team. Nothing you can do other than defeat all four bosses that were summoned by Shadowseer.

My Gambit setup for this fight (only show the important Gambits):
----------------------------------------
| Character 1: Fran                                   | As mentioned before, you have to face
| 1. Ally: Any = Phoenix Down                | four bosses beside Shadowseer, so the
| 2. Ally: Any = Smelling Salts                | Gambit setup here is still has some
| 3. Self: MP < 10% = Charge                  | flaws, so some actions you actually
| 4. Ally: HP < 50% = Curaja                   |  have to use it manually since the
| 5. Ally: Any = Bubble                             | different strategy needed to be used
| 6. Foe : flying = Telekinesis                   | against different boss.
| 7. Foe : lowest HP = Attack                   |
|                                                                    | Do remember to cast Dispel to each
| Character 2: Ashe                                   | of the bosses as soon as it has been
| 1. Ally: Any = Arise                                 | summoned, then following by Remedy
| 2. Ally: Any = Smelling Salts                 | with Nihopalaoa accessory equip.
| 3. Self: MP < 10% = Charge                  |
| 4. Ally: HP < 50% = Curaja                   | Make sure your healer has equiped
| 5. Ally: Any = Bubble                             | Ribbon when Shadowseer readies the
| 6. Ally: Any = Hastega                           | Curse. You can actually cure your
| 7. Ally: Any = Eye Drops                       | ally instantly right after they're
| 8. Foe : flying = Telekinesis                  | cursed, just cast Esunaga to your
| 9. Foe : lowest HP = Attack                   | ally when the Curse is almost sent,
|                                                                    | means you have to calculate the
| Character 3: Penelo (healer)                 | timing. If you don't have Ribbon,
| 1. Ally: Any = Arise                                | make sure you healer is not in the
| 2. Ally: HP < 20% = X-Potion               | range of Curse, or else you will
| 3. Ally: Any = Esunaga                           | get many bad statuses as bad as
| 4. Ally: Any = Remedy                           | getting hit by allies (Confuse).
| 5. Self: MP < 10% = Charge                   |
| 6. Ally: Any = Bubble                              | Fenrir is a bit tough, I recommend
| 7. Ally: HP < 60% = Curaja                    | equip a shield. Since Sleep does
| 8. Foe : flying = Telekinesis                   | work on Fenrir, try only use non-
| 9. Foe : lowest HP = Attack                   | elemental magics to him after using
---------------------------------------- Remedy + Nihopalaoa trick.

Another problem is Invert, which is to switch between you HP and MP from Shadowseer. He will probably use this after he has drained your MP, so once you get switched, your HP will be reduced to a few or even death. For safety a Gambit slot for X-Potion using is no a bad idea. Once you've successfully heal the switched character, he/she will be full of MP uses, cast Renew if you have it, probably your team has not much HP left when you get to this situation, Curaja instead if you don't have Renew.

After defeating all bosses, Shadowseer seems has raised his stats, when he gets lesser HP, his defense power is even stronger, probably you can't deal over 1000 damage to him. Since now the Shadowseer is the only opponent left, plus Berserk and Bravery to your main attacker, and better you have Excalibur to end the battle faster, just make sure you always have a healer with range weapon to support.

Yiazmat - The last mob hunt

BOSS : Yiazmat
HP : around 50,000,000

The last Mob Hunt mission, it's located in Ridorana Cataract, the round section at South where knowing as Colosseum. You must complete all other Mob Hunt mission and defeat Hell Wyrm/Majinryuu optional boss, then back to Clan HQ and talk to Montblanc to receive this mission.

#- General Strategy
It's like a enhanced version of Hell Wyrm/Majinryuu (above), and you can run away anytime like Hell Wyrm/Majinryuu fight. With everything for the Hell Wyrm/ Majinryuu battle (except the weapon has some changes), and your main team raise above than 70 level, you can fight this boss in a long period without escaping. However, Yiazmat's weakness is Dark and it can absorb Holy, so Excalibur should be keep away from this fight.

Some weapons which are not using in the Hell Wyrm battle,
- Yagyuu Darkblade or Orochi, Fomalhaut + Dark Shot

Basically, you can just use the Gambit setup for Hell Wyrm/Majinryuu (above), just to add some Gambit to cure other negative statuses, be prepared to cure Petrify, Stop, Sap. Also prepare some Phoenix Down and Arise spell to revive your team from time to time since Yiazmat will use Deathstrike to your team randomly. But I've noticed Yiazmat likes to use it when the spotted character is near or at the staircase, so if you hate Deathstrike, don't stay at the staircase, fight it at the stage. Sometimes, Death Strike gives you a little benefit since it takes Yiazmat longer time to recover, means Yiazmat needs a few more second to start its next more if it does perform Deathstrike on you.

Later, the Death attack come even faster, maybe Arise would be useless, just keep on using the Phoenix Down to revive your ally. After half of its life, its defence and attack power will be raised. Same time, it might cast Reflecga spell to you, make sure you don't cast the healing spells when you got Reflect status. To reduce the damage of Cyclone Tornado, you can equip the Windbreaker (light equipment) when it's going for this move, it can reduce 50% damage of
Wind elemantal attack. Since it's like Hell Wyrm, so you can flee from the battle and heal your party on the Save Crystal, just be sure Yiazmat is not in Regen status when you leave.

#- Overwall attack trick
But there's a little trick to trap Yiazmat and attack him without worring much. Everything has already mentioned in 7a-2 Mob Hunt section, check it out for the details, and here is the basic steps to trap it:

You can actually use this trick for 95% of the battle. Only problem is when Yiazmat down the 2 life bar (1 red dot left under his HP bar), he will restore his HP, so this trick doesn't work anymore, you have to close combat to stop him from restoring HP. And it's not a Regen, so yuo can't Dispel it. So be sure you save your game when Yiazmat remains 2 life bars.

Again, this is a tough boss, by using the overwall attack technique, you can be at lower levels like 65~70 since he can't attack you. But in the end, you will eventually fight him face to face, and you should be at least 75 level. Only attack and cure isn't a good idea unless you're over 90 level, you can have a try for the tough fight like other bosses. Or else, I recommend either use Decoy + Reverse tactic or use Reverse to all character during the fight, means transfer Yiazmat's powerful attack to heal your team, that's the reason of using Reverse.

Gilgamesh

BOSS : Gilgamesh
HP : 123,103

One of the clan's Mob Hunt mission from Monblanc which named 'Mysterious Man'. This mission will show after completing various mob hunt from Clan HQ, it's rank H/VII.

Once you handle this mission, back to Lhusu Mines. From the Gate Crystal, move to West will encounter him on the bridge. Other than Gilgamesh, you were also face against his beast, Enkidou.

Before anything, just to inform that you could steal Genji Shield on his 4th form (less than 45% HP) and Genji Gloves on his last from (when he start to builds full barrier). This is the only chance that you could get these two equipments, if you miss it, you will never get them anymore. About his form changing, you will see a scene and he will change a different sword, start from second form, it's very easy to be noticed.

Dispel Enkidou for the first, defeat it before you focus on Gilgamesh. You can send Slow to Gilgamesh, other status didn't work on him. Once he's got certain amount of damage, he will change his attack style. In each form, try to steal something from him, you might get some potions, be sure you steal Genji Shield during his 4th form. Also make sure you steal the Genji Gloves from his last form, this equipment can increase your attack combo. Also when he is in the
last form, he will build up the perfect barrier by coming out with his special attack, Ultimate Illusion. Now you can't do anything other than defend, recast the support spells when anyone of them gone. After he does Ultimate Illusion for the second time, the barrier will gone. Now Dispel him and continue your attacks. Again, make sure you have stole the Genji Gloves before end the
battle.

BOSS : Gilgamesh (second battle)
HP : 473,246

After the first fight, Gilgamesh will run to Site 7 which is South-East most of the mines. Before you can reach there, you must clear Antlion (rank A/V) mission, then back to Phon Coast Gate Crystal area, go North-West can see two men there, take the shinning thing beside the sitting man which is the key of Site 11. With the key, you now can get to South-East area of the mines. Before the arena, you should see a Save Crystal.

For this fight, you could steal Genji Helmet and Genji Armor on his last two forms like before. Remember, you can't get these equipments from any other way. Other things that's recommended are Bubble Belt, Genji Gloves with Greatsword, Ninja Sword or Katana, and other best equipment that you currently have, also make sure to always recast Bubble for those who're not to equip Bubble Belt.

Now he is more stronger than the first fight, and Slow doesn't work on him anymore. And he will send Disable, Sleep and Break/Petrify from time to time, actually all these statuses can be avoided, it depends on your character level. Let say the Break, it's belong to Lv.4, and the indication of "Lv.4" means this status can only be affected on the character who's at the multiple level of 4.
For example, character at level 52, 56, 60, 64 ... will 100% get this status unless this character has equiped certain accessory to prevent it. Same theory goes to Disable and Sleep statuses, which are only affect on the characters at the multiple level of 2 and 3. So is better you get a perfect level that is not at the multiple of 2, 3 and 4 before the fight, recommend get to Lv 55, 59, 61. Of cause there're lot more levels are no at the multiple of 2, 3, 4, if you get higher, the battle should be more easier.

At the beginning, Dispel on Enkidou/Enkidu and defeat it immediately like the first fight, but there's a problem when Enkidou/Enkidu in Critical status, you will probably miss alot attacks with you weapon, I suggest use the gun type weapon like Fomalhaut, Antares.., whatever the best guns that you have for now since the gun type weapons have 100% accurate ratio. When your enemy is down to Gilgamesh, change back the best weapons that you used.

Gilgamesh will send you some status at the beginning, beware of Disable, he will send it to all your characters, probably some will miss depends on your characters level as mentioned above or read below for some details. Likewise, Gilgamesh will change fighting style when his HP down to certain level, you can steal some more Genji equipments on his last two form as well, the equipments are Genji Helm and Genji Armor, be sure you don't miss them. His normal attack send Stop to your characters, thought the chance is low, but you must care of it, prepare to heal this negative status. When he's down to around 20% HP, he will put up the Sword of Legend in a special scene, now stop everything, try to Dispel him before he perform Monarch Sword special move. Start from his first Monarch Sword, he will build the perfect barrier again, you have to wait his second Monarch Sword for the barrier gone. Just now if you had successfully Dispel him before the perfect barrier, now you don't have to defensse yourself against him with the Bravery, Haste and more support spells. Now just recast all support spells on your team if anyone of them gone, keep you eyes on the second Monarch Sword, it can deal a large damage on a single character. Revive your character with Arise before Gilgamesh attack the next character, since his chance of combo will be highly increased when he within the Critical status.
After that, continue your attack when his barrier has gone, don't forget to Dispel him if he has recast any support spell.

Level 4 Break can only affects on the characters with level multiple of 4,
eg: level 4, 8, 12, 16...
Level 3 Disable can only affects on the characters with level multiple of 3,
eg: level 3, 6, 9, 12...
Level 2 Sleep can only affects on the characters with level multiple of 2,
eg: level 2, 4, 6, 8, 10...
