Many negative statuses work on this mob, recommend get a Nihoparaoa accessory and a Remedy with all 3 lores learned, you're able to take him down easily even you're at low level (below 30) is no problem as well. Make sure Dispel him before you use this trick. Dispel him again if later he recasts support spells.

Must prepare Esuna white magic and Haste is recommended as well. Set Gambit for curing negative statuses with Esuna, also prepare Echo Herbs to cure the healer in case if he/she got Silence. There's a dangerous move from this mob when it's low HP, Balance. This spell deals damage according to the different of caster's max HP and remaining HP, let say if it cast Balance when it left 2559 HP, and its max HP is 22559, so the result would be 20000 damage! And the amount of damage send to all targets in the area. Either you have to use Mist Knack/Quickening to finish it off before it casts Balance, or sacrifice a character to close combat, and other two characters stay in a distance with range weapon attack, so the Balance would on damage on the close combat ally. Make sure to revive as soon as the Balance has been casted.

This mob only appear during the sand storm. Lot of HP but not that tough, the problem is Ring Wyrm can restore its HP, so even if it couldn't beat your team easily, but you still need to have enough power to kill it as well. Recommend fight this mob when your main team characters are above level 30. First of all, kill off the enemies around, just to avoid them from bothering this long battle. Since Ring Wyrm mostly use its normal attack, and seems to focus on one target normally, so other characters can support and heal, also means Blind works well for your advantage, cast Protect spell on your characters as well.

Prepare some Hi-Potions and Gold Needles, you will need these items for this fight. Kill everything in the North Bank (North-East section), exit and return to find them. Can say they're the toughest hunt of this rank, recommend your main team characters are over level 15. When you return to this section after clearing the monsters, you will probably see Chickatrice
alone. If you have Disable spell (buy from Rabanastre), try send it at the beginning, if it's missed, exit and re-enter for another try. Needless to say, you should defeat them one by one, attack as much as possible before the Cluckatrice has detected your location. It's easier when Lamont/Larsa is in you team.

After story reaching to Phon Coast, camp section, back to Mosphoran Highwaste only you can find this esper. From the Gate Crystal section:

- Prepare some Gysahl Green.
- Activate the South-South Wind Shrine, it's South from the shop.
- Now you can see an exclamation mark in the map screen. Go North-East from the Gate Crystal section.
- Give a Gysahl Green to the chocobo so you can ride it.
- Cross over the exclamation mark to West by using that chocobo.
- In West area, activate the West-West Wind Shrine there, then push down the rock beside can back to Gate Crystal section.
- Activate North-West Wind Shrine which is around the shop.
- Now you can see two more exclamation marks in the map screen, they're aroundWest area, cross over them will reach to the arena.

Can't use item for this battle. He has around 100,000 Hp, always like to cast Reflect. One way to delay him is let one of your character always Dispel his Reflect, so he will keep recasting it back, then use other characters to hit him. Just beware of Collapse/Scathe spell which can damage all your characters,

he know to cast Flare and has absorb HP attack as well. Sometimes, he will build a magic barrier when he was Critical HP.

Since he loves to play with Reflection, if you got some stronge magic like Scourage, Collapse/Scathe, why not you play Reflect with him. Cast Reflect on your party, cast Collapse/Scathe on your party. So now you can see even you're facing an only target, but your spell can strike more then once time on the opponent, depends on how many active characters you have, each of characters reflect one strike of the spell. And do remember not cast Curaja and other support spells on your team, otherwise they will be sent to your opponent,
however, equip Opal Ring for the character who's going to cast these spells can still works as normal. This trick works with other spell which can damage all enemies, and of cause it works on many other enemies, bosses fights which I didn't mention.

Necrohol Of Nabudis

Chaos - Walker of the Wheel

Mist Lv : 3
LP Cost : 90
Zodiac : Taurus
Element : Multi
Location : Necrohol Of Nabudis

Before you can fight Chaos, you have to go through some little quests and get the apppointed keys. First of all, go Nabreus Deadlands to trigger the scene with Ma'Kleou. Afterwards, you need to obtain three fragments, below is the way for them:

- Clear Wraith (rank E), White Mousse and Orthros (rank A) Mob Hunt missions.
- Return to your client for rewards with the first fragment from Orthros mission, Blackened Fragment.

With Sluice Gate Key which get from the reward of White Mousse hunting mission, back to Garamsythe Waterway, so that you can control the panel. In the central control section, you can see some spheres there which are the panel of 3rd, 4th, 10th and 11th area waterway. To not be confused, light off all panel for first, then follow the steps below:
- On No.11 Area Panel. (thats mean light up the panel)
- On No.4 Area Panel.
- Off No.11 Area Panel.
- On No.3 Area Panel.
- Off No.4 Area Panel.
- Now go around South in the same area and find the shiny object on the ground which is another fragment that you need, Dull Fragment. NOT in the South section, it's still the semi-circle!

If it's any wrong step you did, just light off all panel and start again.

- In Rabanastre Downtown/Lowtown, head to Old Dalan's Place at South, talk to Roh'Kenmou near Dalan.
- Still in Downtown/Lowtown, around South-East area, talk to Filo.
- Go Rabanastre central section where known as Southern Plaza, talk to the Curious Women who's looking at the fountain.
- Now go Bazaar section and speak with all merchants there and ask about the Necklace things until you get the answer.
- Head to Magic shop and talk to the Sotted Imperial, the only soldier sitting in the left corner, choose first option twice.
- Back down to Downtown/Lowtown and talk to Filo, choose lets go with Filo to return to Magic Shop for some events, you will get one more fragment after the scene, Grimmy Fragment.

Before leaving for the next quest, back to Old Dalan's Palce in Downtown/Lowtown, pass all three fragments that you get to Roh'Kenmou, and he would disappear.

- Since you had already met with Ma'Kleou, now go to The Imperial City Of Archades.
- Within the Magic Shop, talk to Roh'Kenmu.
- Move on to Old Archades West section, talk to Otto at the corner for the Moonsilver Medallion.
- Return to Imperial City Of Archades, pass the Moonsilver Medallion to Roh'Kenmu in Magic Shop.

After the quests above, you're getting closer to the esper. Now,
- Go to Nabreus Deadlands and talk to Ma'Kleou.
- Head to North-West section. Like you hunt Roblon (rank S), you have to go through the hidden path. Just go South from the Gate Crystal, following section search the North-West area for the path.
- Go until you see something like monument to get Medallion Of Bravery, Love and lately obtain the Lusterless Medallion.

Now move to Necrohol Of Nabudis, central West area, use Medallion Of Bravery to open the Door Of Horrors, defeat Humbaba Boss/Mistant optional boss. Head to North-East area, use the Medallion Of Love to open the Door Of Loathing and defeat Fury optional boss. Now the Lusterless Medallion become Mighty. Go to the central section, use the Medallion Of Might to open the Door of Despair and battle with this esper.

Use Fury and Humbaba Boss/Mistant as your tests before the fight, if you couldn't handle these battles well, go train some more before fighting Chaos. Attack command was sealed, the worst thing. Prepare your Gambit system focus onto magic and skill uses, Telekinesis (Distance Attack for JP version) skill/ technick is recommended to replace your normal attack, you can buy it from the secret shop there (Nabudis) after Giruvegan event. As for magic, of cause the stronger is better, strongest Black Magic is Scathe (Collapse for JP version) which sell in the secret shop as well, buy it after Pharos at Ridorana if you need it.

Cast support spell on your party, and recast them for the entire battle when they're gone, do remember Faith is to raise up the magic power. And needless to say, Dispel Chaos whenever he has support spells. Take down the 4 elemental Chaos jets before focus on Chaos. Chaos attacks are pretty stronge, recommend equip shield for this battle since you don't use any weapon attacks, unless you're using Telekinesis, so you need stronger weapons to boost up the damage
to Chaos, if you're not using the Telekinesis technick style, just use the shields. Chaos can you Silence, and magics are the main attack for now, you must prepare Gambit to cure Silence all the time. Because of Chaos can absorb the elemental spells, remember just use the non-element spells to damage him. If you have lot of gil, use Gil Toss isn't a bad idea. Beside, you can also
send him Slow and Sap.

Can reach this cavern through Nam-Yensa Sandsea, Ozmone Plains or Dalmasca Westersand. Find the inner area where couldn't display proper in the mini map, around there will encounter this esper. If you can kill the monsters in the cavern easily, defeating the esper won't be a problem.

Flying target, plan to use magic, skill and weapons for flying target, since the esper immune to some ammunitions, so recommend learn Telekinesis before the fight. Some Shambling Corpses join the battle too. First you can flee from the battle, then re-enter this section to kill off the corpses before the esper found you. Equip the armor or shield that're immune to lightning if you have any, eg: Rubber Suit which can be found in Pharos at Ridorana, or the strongest shield Zodiac Escutcheon if you have got it.

Like Hell Wyrm optional boss, you can run from the fight anytime you like, as long as not leaving Yiazmat with Regen status, he won't restore his life. So, fight until you're tired, then leave and save your game at the nearest Save Crystal, return there later as your wish.

Well, my recommended level is 80, or it can be even lower, but of cause if you have higher level characters. There's a little tricks to reduce his long HP bar much easier than fighting him at the stage. At around level 80 or lower, you have to do this trick, you cannot beat him by using normal battle style.

Some important things you need are:
- Darkga, this is your main attack.
- Mirror Mail, at least 3 for supporting your main attack.
- Phoenix Down, 99 if it. You must sacrifice an ally for some reasons.
- Gold Needle & Chronos Tear at least 10 for each. I believe you have more.
- Hermes Sandals, if you don't like to unequip Mirror Mail and cast Haste.
- Lv 3 Mists, to max out your Max MP. I believe you have done this.
- Windbreaker, just in case for Yiazmat's Cyclone.

Optional:
- Ashe and Penelo as main party, they have strongest magic power.
- Bubble Belt, for safety before you can really trapped Yiazmat.
- Opal Ring, in case of need.
- Black Mask, in case of need.
- Fomalhaut + Dark Shot, in case of need.
- Sage's Ring to save your MP.

NOTE:
Before anything, I would like to let you know, this trick can only take down 95% Yiazmat's HP, you must fight the remaining 5% in the hard way! Althought this trick could not beat Yiazmat, but I think it would be helpful to get rid of 95% Yiazmat.

#- Trapping Yiazmat
Here comes the fight, I found a little trick to trap Yiazmat and attack him without worrying much, which means you don't actually need to fight him face to face. Switch off the Gambit, enter the Colosseum and manually cast Dispel on Yiazmat at first, let him target on your current leader. Circling Yiazmat at the side to lure him get close to the side, and now you will get one or
two hits, but with Bubble Belt or Bubble status, you can survive it without problem. If you're unluckly get Stop or Petrify, or even stomp on the trap with other bad statuses, faster use item to cure it. Once Yiazmat has closed to the stairs (be sure it's very close to the stairs), change your second character as your leader, leave the former leader KO'd by Yiazmat, but now make sure you new leader run down the stairs and hide behind the wall.

Use Phoenix Down or Arise to revive your former leader once yo reached behind the wall. Now Yiazmat will start casting Protect at the same place, and you can actually damage him behind the wall, by using Reflect + Darkga is the strongest attack. Equip all character with Mirror Mail and use the Darkga on your own.

You might not understand what I mean, so check the link below, click "Next" at the bottom to see step by step of the trick.

Once you've done trapping Yiazmat, simply set the Gambit like this:
---------------------------------------
| Character 1                                            | As mentioned before, equip all your
| 1. Ally: Any => Phoenix Down            | character with Mirror Mail, so you
| 2. Ally: Any => Darkga                        | don't need to cast Reflectga on the
|                                                                  | team. Keep on using Darkga to bounce
| Character 2                                            | off triple damage to Yiazmat.
| 1. Ally: Any => Phoenix Down            |
| 2. Ally: Any => Darkga                        | Same time, Yiazmat will cast Protect,
|                                                                  | Shell, Regen, Haste, Bravery... spell
| Character 3                                            | on his own, you should Dispel him
| 1. Ally: Any => Phoenix Down            | again at the suitable timing.
| 2. Ally: Any => Darkga                         | I recommend begin your Dispel once
--------------------------------------- Yiazmat has done his Haste.

By doing so, you would trigger Yiazmat to use Deathstrike since Dispel cannot cast through the wall. Just send the character with weakest Magic to do this job. Revive him/her after the Deathstrike, the Dispel should be sent before Yiazmat did the Deathstrike. So, Yiazmat will recast the support spell accrodingly again, repeat and send him more Darkga until him cast Haste, Dispel as usual.

Sometimes, Yiazmat will use Cyclone instead of Deathstrike, if this happen, try set your team to be only one existing character to take on the Cyclone, but probably you can't do this well since your Gambit is on. So equip all character with Windbreaker armor, also equip Shell Shield if you have it, just only to block the Cyclone. Change back the better equipments afterwards. Remeber Cyclone bring you Sap status, be sure you heal it.

#- Additional notes:
- Sometimes you can actually make Yiazmat cancels Cyclone, but I haven't discovered how exaclty was it. So far I've done few times, which is keep running further from Yiazmat (who was targetted by Yiazmat with Cyclone), and eventaully Yiazmat begins casting Protect again.
- Equip Sage's Ring to regain some MP, because you can gain MP while using Darkga, and Sage's Ring reduce the MP cost.
- If you need to cast support spell, equip Opal Ring, but remember to unequip it after you've done.
- In case after Cyclone you need to heal badly, unequip the Mirror Mail on the character at low HP and equip Black Mask, means heal by using Darkga, meanwhile you can damage Yiazmat.
- Equip Hermes Sandals to speed up your progress.
- Prevent Reflectga from Yiazmat by equiping Mirror Mails.

*** READ THIS ***

Hopefully you haven't go and fight Yiazmat without reading this. Again, with the strategy above, you can only cut off 95% of his HP, what would happen after that? Like King Bomb restores its HP after getting certain amount of damage, but Yiazmat is like a auto-ability, he will restore his HP very faster, probably 2 seconds restore one life bar, you can't Dispel this, however, this auto-ability can only be activated when Yiazmat cannot detect any target in his range. So,
show off yourself to stop Yiazmat from restoring HP. And I noticed this will happen when Yiazmat HP is down to 2 bar left, that's mean when 1 red dot left under his HP bar.
For safety, GO AND SAVE YOUR GAME NOW~!

Before return to the fight, remember Yiazmat will give you a Cyclone after he done his supporting setup. So, send a solo character to take against this Cyclone. It's better you have Reverse status in the right timing, so you don't need to worry for it. I recommend start casting
Reverse when you pass the stairs.

#- Final showdown

1. Lure Yiazmat to use Deathstrike
With the over-wall attack trick above, Yiazmat can only use Deathstrike if you don't enter the stage. To not make Yiazmat stop attacking, use two characters to keep staying at the stairs, as Yiazmat can detect the targets, he will keep using Deathstrike, so his HP wouldn't restore as
long as he sees your ally. Keep one ally using Darkga as usual, be sure you have Gambit set to use Phoenix Down against your ally to revive from Deathstrike. But this technique is slow, and Yiazmat might use Cyclone instead of Deathstrike, so you do have to prepare against Cyclone too.

2. Decoy + Reverse
As you need to close combat with Yiazmat, he will cast Reflectga on your team, if you want to use Dispel on your team, you will lost all your current supporting statuses, and you need to recast them, which is wasting your time. To make the things easier, equip Mirror Mail
to prevent the Reflectga from Yiazmat. Decoy a character and Reverse him/her. Already mentioned in Fafnir strategy under Rank H/VII section, check it out for the basic setup. By using this technique, you have to prepare Esuna or Chronos Tear and Gold Needle to cure the possible bad statuses from Stone and White Breath. Since Yiazmat only attack your
Decoyed character, so equip Windbreaker to other characters for the coming soon Cyclone.

3. Reverse everyone
You don't need to Decoy, only cast Reverse to all ally, but you need to spend lot of MP. This is also a close combat, so equip Mirror Mail to prevent Yiazmat's Reflectga. Now you should have Gambit setup for "Self => Reverse" or "Ally: Any => Reverse". Equip Sage's Ring to
reduce MP cost of Bubble/Bubble Belt to double your HP for just in case get hit by Yiazmat before you put up the Reverse. So basically you don't need to worry about Cyclone, but you still need to prepare curing Petrify, Stop and Sap.

The strongest boss in the game is going down, Good Luck~!

Early Leveling Via Dustia Method

Earn some more gil and buy a bunch of Phoenix Downs from either Nalbina or  Migelo's in Rabanastre (if you've done the Sunstone quest) to prepare for some serious leveling. Once you have a good stash, head over to the Westersand and  beat yourself up until your HP drops below 10%. Once you're there, go to the Corridor of Sand.

Dustia, a rare monster, will show up. It is an undead monster, so a Phoenix  Down will kill it in one shot. It is also a teleporting monster, which means  that if you kill it but leave the area before the Exp/LP totals show up, it  will respawn once you reenter the area. You get about 1100 Exp per Dustia. This translates to about 20 levels in around an hour, less if you get good at it. What's also good about this method is that you effectively build up a chain and  can stand to make some serious gil. Practice picking up the loot and exiting  without breaking your chain and you'll be able to pick up a lot of Book of Orgains, which you'll be able to sell for a lot of cash. By the way, I don't take credit for this method.

Remember, whenever you want to leave and save before heading back for more,  you have to be below 10% of your max HP before Dustia will spawn.

Gladius (For Early Leveling)

Stats: +45 dagger, Windstrike
Method: Steal from Lindbur Wolf - Dalmasca Westersand, Shimmering Horizons

Chain more than 20 Wolves in the Westersand and head to Shimmering Horizons.  Lindbur Wolf will be here with a few lackeys. Equip the Leather Shield.  Repeatedly cast Blind on the Lindbur Wolf until it connects. It should almost never be able to hit you now. Get rid of the small fry and steal from Lindbur Wolf until you obtain the Gladius.

The Wyrmhero Blade (The Best Sword)

The 'best' sword in the game, but more of a slower, more powerful Excalibur.
This is pretty much a trophy and won't be used much if you get it, since it has
the slowest attack rate of anything in the game. Anyway, it is:

Sword (2H)                     Element: Holy
Attack: 130
Evasion: 50

To get it, sell 1 Omega Badge, 1 Godslayer's Badge, and 1 Lu Shang's Badge. Basically you need those 3 things, sell them to the Bazaar, and buy the blade for 65000 Gil. Get them like this:

- The Omega Badge is received after beating the optional boss, Omega Mk. XII. He is located in the depths of the Great Crystal. Check out this map:

Crystal Grande

That should guide you nicely. If you need help navigating, I'm gunna copy and paste my walkthru of getting the Zodiac Estucheon here, since its relatively the same path. First, look up at the Excalibur section, and proceed to the platform where the Excalibur is/was. Then...

Assuming youre at the Excalibur platform and looking at the Great Crystal map noted above, return all the way to Waystone (WS) XIV. Head NE once to the Leo Gate Stone, touch it, and return to WS XIV. Now go SW to the first platform, North to the next, NE to the next. Now go
NW (*not* to the Excalibur platform) to the next area. Go down the only path accessible and open the Leo Gate. Go North 2 screens to WS XV.

Touching that, it takes you to WS XVI. This is the very confusing part, so refer to the map often. Head North to the Libra Gate Stone and touch it. Now move West to open Libra Gate II (L2 on the map). Go South a ways to the Capricorn Gate Stone and touch it. Now backtrack all the way to WS XVI, head East once and open Capricorn Gate I (C1). Proceed forward
and touch the Virgo Gate Stone. Now backtrack back to the Libra Gate Stone, dont touch it, and go NE once. You should now be on the platform with 2 Gates. Open the Virgo Gate II (V2) which should be on your left. Proceed through and North a platform or two to reach WS XVII. Touch it.
Youll be at WS XVIII. North once is a Save Crystal. Use that, then go NW to the Aquarius Gate Stone. Touch that and backtrack to WS XVIII, touch it, and return to WS XVII. Go back many platforms until you reach the platform just BEFORE the Capricorn Gate Stone. Instead of going there, go West and open the Aquarius Gate I (A1). Now backtrack to the Capricorn Gate Stone again, touch that, and go all the way past Libra Gate Stone to the platform with V2 and C2. Open Capricorn Gate II (C2). Now backtrack to where we just opened Aquarius Gate I (A1) and continue forward to the Taurus Gate Stone. Touch that and backtrack to the Libra Gate Stone,
forward through where Capricorn Gate II used to be, and East one platform. Open Taurus Gate I (as opposed to Taurus II, in the Zodiac Estucheon case) and go to WS XXI. Now just keep touching Waystones and you'll arive at Omega. I might post a guide on him later, for now just google him if you need help.

- The Godslayer's Badge is received after beating the Yiazmat mark. He is arguably the strogset monster in the game, with 50 million HP. Killing him in 2 hours time is considered extremely fast. To unlock Yiazmat, first kill Hellwyrm. Then Montblanc will allow you to take on Yiazmat. Again, I might post a guide at some point, just Google him.

- The Lu Shang's Badge is the last item and you get it from the fishing minigame. unlock the Den of the River Lord. Catch the Riverlord fish to get this item. The secret to this is memorizing the *last 3 keys* in any given combination. Once you familiarize yourself with the last 3 combos, you can do this much faster. Because you'll take some time with the first 3 keys, then once you get to the familiar last 3, you can push those out quickly to save yourself. For example, one combination of the last 3 is L1 - X - R1. This is a simple sweeping motion from left to right, obviously, and once you realize that it's this combo, you can pull it off quickly.

The Masamune (Strongest Katana in the Game)

The Masamune is the best Samurai Katana you can get in the game. It is really good
and in addition to crazy damage, it has a 40% combo rate! And 70% if you use its
partner, the Genji Gloves! So, the Masamune is:

Katana (2H)            Element: none
Attack: 93               Combo Rate: 40%
Evasion: 5

Sweet. It's possible to get TWO Masamune in the game. One from Gilgamesh and another if you make it. If you havent gotten the Tournesol yet, you can overlap the Gemsteels to get it. It requires 2 Mallets, 3 Orichalcum, and 2 Gemsteel.

we need 3 ingredients. Remember doing the Tournesol? Well here we go again. You gotta get 2 Mallets, 3 Orichalcum, and 2 Gemsteel. And 350,000 Gil.

- For the Mallets, we can get these from a rare game. Named Bombshell. Firstly, go defeat the Antlion Hunt and youll get a nice Site 3 key. Now head over to Phon Coast and search northern Hunter's Camp. Next to the dude that fell from Bhujerba is the Site 11 key. Got that, now head to Lhusu Mines/Lasche Span, which is in the deep Western area of the Mines (read up on Gilgamesh). Now look, theres a 20% chance he'll be here. If not, go one area away and return. Steal from him till you get a Mallet, then run TWO areas away. Return. Steal. The Mallet also drops from Purobolos enemies in the Pharos. Also, you'll prolly have 1 already from Montblanc (the Clan moogle) for killing King Bomb. So just do this once.

- Now for the Orichalcum. Go to Pharos/First Ascent. Look around for 10 Deidars and kill them. Now go to floor 48F and Vishno will be where the Aeronite was. Steal. You might get a Damascus Steel. Once you steal something, run 2 areas away to reset the Steal. Go back and repeat, etc. Ironically, these things also drop from Deidars themselves, so you can try chaining them if you want. Or Poach them.

- Gemsteel time. You need 2, but you should have one from the clan (for having 8 Espers). Then you only need one. The Gemsteel itself is comprised of 2 Damascus Steel (you might have some from Stealing from Vishno), 1 Scarletite, and 2 Hell-Gate Flames. For this and more, look above at Section Vb. Now you just need to sell ALL this everything to get it.

Ok, sell the Gemsteel ingredients for ONE GEMSTEEL per time. Assuming youre making 2 (even though you should have one from the Clan for 8 Espers). Then simply sell the rest of the ingredients to unlock the Masamune, and buy it for 350k Gil.

Now, if you want to do this and get the Tournesol too, sell in this order:
- 3 Empyreal Soul
- 3 Serpentarius
- 2 Mallet
- 3 Orichalcum
- 3 Gemsteel

Now both the Masamune and the Tournesol will be unlocked.

Zodiac/Elidibus - The King Of Commandment

Mist Lv : 3
LP Cost : 200
Zodiac : Serpentarius
Element : Dark
Location : Henne Mines

#Limit Break - Last Eclipse

.--------- Esper Stats ---------.--- Lv to challenge ---.
| Lv: 66 Atk: 201                       | Recommended: > 70 |
| HP: 336847 Def: 61                 | Minimum Lv : > 65 |
| LP: 70 Mag Res: 40                | Average Lv : > 45 |
'-------------------------------'-----------------------'

Must have at least 10 espers and finish Mind Flayer mob hunt mission (rank B), go Land Of The Garif and find the geomancer to get some info, he is located at opposite from the Item Shop. Back to Henne Mines, go North from Gate Crystal, now you can see the gate to East has been open up. Follow the path to the secret area, you can also get the map here, but the map doesn't show all the ways here. There is not save point from the Gate Crystal, and the enemies are pretty stronge, don't fight with this esper if you can't defeat those enemies here. Within the secret area, you can see a section around North, something like oval shape, Zodiac is waiting you there.

- Here is the arena

For this battle, you must have lot of HP and great in speed, strongly recommend to use Bubble spell, or equip Bubble Belt which can double your HP, also prepare Demon Shield, Black Mask and lot of Pheonix Down for this battle.

At the beginning, Zodiac will present you his powerful skill, Darkja. It could deals large damage and Death touch to all your character, means this move could kill all your characters in once. After Darkja, it might perform other skill like Vanish Ray or attack to your remaining characters, be sure to revive your character before it does the attack. Of cause, equipments which could block or absorb Dark element are recommended, must equip them to all characters.

During the battle, Zodiac will cast Faith and Bravery itself, Dispel it before he does any attack, because when it has Faith, its Collapse/Scathe can be very dangerous. Try keep Dispeling it whenever it's casting Faith and Brave, I've noticed it will recast them before attack, but Zodiac can cast them very fast, so you should start to cast Dispel during the Faith or Brave status is coming to support Zodiac.

Looks like pretty easy to reduce its HP, but the worst thing is when almost defeated it, Zodiac knows to build full barrier as well. During its barrier period, there is nothing you can do other than defend, pay attention either magic or physical barrier has gone, blast him whatever you can. Becareful of its Reflect if you going to cast spell or just equip Opal Ring. Times that you can hurt it before the next perfect barrier is very short, so don't waste the chance, but you should give up attacks if your characters need to heal. Zodiac weaks against Holy, but from the first barrier it puts, it will also change its elemantal weakness. Other than this, Darkja will come faster during Zodiac in lower HP. Since you have at least 10 espers, just summon one of it to block the Darkja if you haven't prepared.

The first half of the battle, Zodiac would also use the Level statuses skill like the Gilgamesh rank H/VII mob hunt second battle and Zalera Esper fight.

Level 4 Break can only affects on the characters with level multiple of 4,
eg: level 4, 8, 12, 16...
Level 3 Disable can only affects on the characters with level multiple of 3,
eg: level 3, 6, 9, 12...
Level 2 Sleep can only affects on the characters with level multiple of 2,
eg: level 2, 4, 6, 8, 10...

Back here later if you can't beat it. Recommend at least three characters are over 70, is better at level 71, and hopefully got a character with around 40 level for back up.

After the battle in Mt. Bur Omisace, talk to an elder outside this building to get Stone Of The Condemner. Back to Stilshrine Of Miriam, and check the Way Stone inside the main hall, then use Stone Of The Condemner on it will to into a secret room, exit from the room will face this esper.

You can't cast any spells in this battle, make sure prepare more useful items before entering the battle, recommend 40 X-Potion in stock, equip Power Armlet or Ring of Renewal accessory. Also prepare Chronos Tear for curing Stop if you don't have the Power Armlet, and prepare some Antidote for curing Poison, and it's the time to spend your Hastega Mote as well. Don't use Bubble or your character lost more HP from the Gravity.

Many annoying enemies keep on spawn around, you must be very good in physical attack. Now your Mist Knack/Quickening is very useful, can't avoid from using items to restore your MP to do more Mist Knack/ Quickening, however, if you have higher defense point or shield evasion, you can easily block off the attack from the undeads, so equip the armors which raise your defense and evasion. Remember finish off him faster when he left lesser HP, like common bosses, him will be stronger when lower HP. Another way is the Gil Toss, but it works well only if you got lot of gil. By the way, set Gambit to heal with X-Potion on the character less than 60% is recommended.
