Before anything about this quest, you must get:

- Story reaches to Imperial City of Archades.
- Completely clear Cluckatrice/Niwatoris rank E Mob/Mark Hunt.
- Clear Gil Snapper/Gilgame rank C Mob/Mark Hunt mission.
- Find the Feather Of The Flock in the South-East section where you fought
Gil Snapper/Gilgame mob, you can only reach there during rainy season.

If you've done everything above, the go to Giza Plains camp section during
DRY SEASON. Talk to Tira by the stable knowing the Cockatrices were gone, know
start to find them in the locations below:

- Jahara, Land of the Garif -
-----------------------------
Head to middle section meet with Cockatrice. Talk to the Cockatrice and the
cattle breeder beside, tell him you came from Giza Plains. Then move to the
inner section and talk to the eldest Garif will obtain Eldest Garif's Present,
just give it to Cockatrice. Before leaving, talk to the breeder again for
Platinum Dagger.

- Dalmasca Eastersand -
-----------------------
For certain reason, you must finish the 'Back to Barheim Passage' quest and
get Sluice Gate Key for first. Return to Dalmasca Eastersand Gate Crystal
section, talk to the boy by the river shore and send Nasir (wolf), Aril (kid)
and Sasana (Cockatrice) to Northern shore one by one. After that, talk to
Sasana again for Koga Blade (Ninja Sword).

- Eruyt Village -
-----------------
Go to the Northern area, find Mjrn and Cockatrice in the right end. After
speaking with them, pick up the Dewdrops Pebble left from Mjrn, give it to
her. Now search the entire village for other 8 more stones.

Dewdrop Pebble locations:

In the Northern section,
- you can find one in front of the trunk door along with a viera.
- opposite side from above location.

From the Northern section down to the lower section,
- on the stairs, one is on the outer trunk beside.
- the three ways junction with a suspension bridge, find it beside one of the
tied block.
- West area, go right hand side, examine the weapon shelf for another one.
- in the round garden, you can see a shinning thing in the middle, talk to the
nearest viera to obtain it.
- on the middle of the stairs to bottom, find it on the outer side.
- East area, there is a bridge faces to South, but it has been blocked, the
end of that bridge contain another stone.

After collecting all 8 of them, back to Northern section and pass all of
them to Mjrn. Talk to Cockatrice again, the last pebble will appear beside
the Cockatrice, pass it the Myulin also. Reward of this part is Yoichi Bow.

- Imperial City of Archades -
-----------------------------
You need to obtain all 28 White Leafs/Pinewood Chops in the four sections at
East. It's actually mentioned in the main walkthrough at Archades part, if
you had follow the walkthrough, definitely the Sandalwood Chop is already
inside your inventory.

(I've mentioned this in the 7a-5. 80 Rare Monsters quest, if you had already
done this, just head to highland Terrace to find the Cockatrice, it's at the
North of the Gate Crystal.)

Same like how you get 9 White Leafs for the taxi guard to travel. Just run
around speak with any one of the 28 appointed NPCs for the information, then
inform to the other one of the pair to complete it.

In the section beside Airship Terminal/Aerodrome, you can speak with the girl
who's runing around, and she will tell you the remaining White Leaf for each
section.

After all, go to a shop and find the Guild Counter/Chop Master inside that
shop, trade all 28 White Leafs for the Black Feather/Sandalwood Chop. Now head
to West section where the Gate Crystal by, go to North. With the Black Feather/
Sandalwood Chop, you now can enter the highland Terrace. Inside there, just get
close to the giant Cockatrice and talk to it, then choose the first option to
obtain Tumulus hand bomb weapon.

- Royal City of Rabanastre -
----------------------------
Completed all four events above, back to Rabanastre and find the Cockatrice at
the Northern point. Once you check on the Cockatrice, it will run away, now
you need to chase it. When closing to the Cockatrice, you do have to walk,
otherwise it will run into a distance, and you're not able to chase it by
running.

The two corridors at both sides corner are the key points to catch up with it,
if you lost to get it, just drive it until the next corridor. Near the side
corner, the Cockatrice will just keep going on the street, so you just need to
walk into the corridor for short cut, as long as you don't show in front of
it, you should catch up with it after the corridor. Talk to it and choose the
first option, it will stay at the Northern area. Talk to it again and choose
second option for Diamond Sword, and it will gone for Giza Plains.

- Port At Balfonheim -
----------------------
Same section with Gate Crystal, talk to the moogle opposite of the map seller,
who's walking around the chocobo stable. Then talk to the girl looking at the
chocobo stable and show her the Feather Of The Flock, the moogle just now will
come around. Now talk to the Chocobo Stable Guardian to watch some scenes. You
will get Defender (Greatsword) for this part.


After all, back to Giza Plains camp section during DRY SEASON. Talk to Tira for
ending the quest. Obtain Hi-Ether x2.
